Quick answer
Is there a nonstop from the UK to Jeddah, and which UK airport is cheapest?
Yes. Heathrow publishes Saudia at two flights a day to Jeddah. On current guide fares the cheapest UK departure is Manchester (MAN) at £1,458 return — not London.
Heathrow's guide to direct Saudi flights names three carriers for Riyadh but only Saudia for Jeddah, so Jeddah is a materially less competitive route than the Saudi capital even though both sit in the same country.
British Airways published plans in September 2025 to move Jeddah from four to five weekly flights in summer 2026, but Heathrow's own Saudi guide does not list it and we could not confirm the current position from a primary source.
Price your regional airport as well as London, and ask us who is actually operating the sector rather than assuming a nonstop is available on your dates.

Jeddah and Riyadh are in the same country and get written about as though they were the same trip. From the UK they are not. Jeddah has fewer nonstop operators, and — on current guide fares — its cheapest UK departure is not the one you would guess.
The nonstop, and who actually runs it
Heathrow's own guide to direct Saudi Arabia flights publishes Saudia at two flights a day to Jeddah, and describes Jeddah as the gateway to Mecca and the Red Sea. Heathrow lists Saudia in Terminal 4.
The same guide names three carriers for Riyadh — Saudia, Virgin Atlantic and British Airways — and only Saudia for Jeddah. That difference is the most important structural fact about this route.
There is an open question we are not going to paper over. In September 2025 British Airways published plans to move its Jeddah service from four weekly flights to five in summer 2026. Heathrow's current Saudi guide does not list British Airways among the Jeddah operators, and we were not able to reach British Airways' own route pages to settle it. We therefore treat British Airways' current Jeddah position as unconfirmed rather than claiming either that it flies or that it does not. When you enquire, we confirm the operating carrier on your dates instead of guessing here.
On our current guide fares, London is not the cheapest departure
Our lowest current business class guide fare for Jeddah is £1,458 return from Manchester (MAN), checked — and it is not the London fare. The departure board below shows the current spread across the UK origins we price.
That is worth a moment, because the usual advice on a single-operator route is the opposite: go to where the nonstop leaves. Here the cheapest departure sits elsewhere, which normally means the fare is built on a connection rather than the Heathrow nonstop. A connection is not automatically the wrong answer — it can be cheaper and leave at a better time — but it is a different product, and you should know which one you are buying before you compare it with anything.
First class is indicatively from £3,629. All of these are dated starting prices for the cabin and route shown, and your exact fare is confirmed on your quote.
King Abdulaziz International (JED), and the pilgrimage question
The arrival is King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED), on the Red Sea coast north of the city.
Jeddah is the usual international gateway for travellers heading to Makkah, and a large share of the airport's traffic is pilgrimage-related. We will ticket JED when that is the airport you need. We will not publish a pilgrimage fare ladder, quota guidance or religious travel advice — those are questions for official sources, not for a flight page. What we will tell you is the operational consequence: around Ramadan, Eid and the Hajj season, premium cabins on this route fill and aircraft assignments change, so give us the dates you can actually fly rather than a wish window.
Why Jeddah reads differently from Riyadh
Buying the wrong one is a common and expensive mistake. A Riyadh arrival for a Jeddah diary is a domestic sector and most of a day, and the two cities are on opposite sides of the country.
Before you book a Jeddah ticket
- Ask which UK origin the fare is built from, and whether it is the Heathrow nonstop or a connection.
- Ask who is operating the sector — we will not assume a carrier we cannot confirm.
- Confirm the arrival is JED, not RUH.
- If your travel is tied to a religious calendar, give us the dates you can genuinely fly; premium availability moves sharply in those windows.
- Ask what the fare rules allow if the return has to move, before you accept a lower fare built on a restrictive rule.
Jeddah is one of the Gulf routes where our cheapest UK departure is not London. Our guide to business class across the Gulf sets out where that is true across the region.
FAQs
What do travellers ask about business class to Jeddah?
Prefer to talk? +447348617176 .
How much is business class to Jeddah from the UK?
The lowest indicative guide fare we currently hold is £1,458 return, from Manchester (MAN) rather than London, checked. On a single-operator nonstop route a cheaper non-London origin usually signals a connecting itinerary, so ask which shape you are being quoted.
Is there a nonstop flight from the UK to Jeddah?
Heathrow's guide to direct Saudi Arabia flights publishes Saudia at two flights a day to Jeddah. Heathrow lists Saudia in Terminal 4. We confirm the operating carrier and the schedule on your dates.
Does British Airways fly to Jeddah?
We cannot confirm the current position. British Airways published plans in September 2025 to move Jeddah from four to five weekly flights in summer 2026, but Heathrow's current Saudi guide does not list British Airways among the Jeddah operators and we could not reach BA's own route pages. We treat it as unconfirmed and check the operating carrier when we quote.
Which UK airport is cheapest for business class to Jeddah?
On current guide fares the cheapest departure is Manchester (MAN), not London. That usually means the fare is built on a connection rather than the Heathrow nonstop, so ask which shape you are being quoted before comparing it.
Which airport does this Jeddah fare use?
King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED), on the Red Sea coast. Riyadh (RUH) is the inland capital and a different fare with its own page.
Is Jeddah the capital of Saudi Arabia?
No. Riyadh is the capital. Jeddah is the Red Sea commercial port city and the usual international gateway toward Makkah. They are on opposite sides of the country.
Can I fly to Jeddah for Umrah or Hajj?
We will ticket JED when that is the airport you need. We do not publish pilgrimage fare ladders, quota guidance or religious travel advice — check official sources for those. What we can tell you is that premium cabins fill and aircraft assignments change around Ramadan, Eid and the Hajj season.
Why does Jeddah have fewer airlines than Riyadh?
Heathrow's Saudi guide names three carriers for Riyadh and only Saudia for Jeddah. Riyadh is the capital and the corporate market; Jeddah's traffic mix is different. Fewer operators means fewer premium seats competing for your booking.
Which Heathrow terminal is Saudia?
Heathrow lists Saudia in Terminal 4, alongside Qatar Airways, Etihad, Gulf Air, Kuwait Airways, Oman Air and Riyadh Air. Heathrow describes Saudi Arabia departures overall as spread across Terminals 3, 4 and 5.
Should I book Jeddah or Riyadh?
Book the city you actually need. A Riyadh arrival for a Jeddah diary means a domestic sector and most of a day. If you are unsure, tell us the address of the meeting or hotel and we will tell you which airport fits.
Is first class available to Jeddah?
We currently hold a first class fare from £3,629, well above the business figure. With one published nonstop operator on this city pair, first class is a thin market here — we check what is actually bookable on your dates rather than assume the cabin is available.
Are these Jeddah fares guaranteed?
No. Premium availability on this route moves sharply around Ramadan, Eid and the Hajj season, which affects what is bookable long before it affects the headline figure. The figures here were checked.
How do I get a Jeddah business class quote?
Use the enquiry form above or email info@expertsbusinessfirst.co.uk. Give us your dates and your nearest UK airport as well as London, and tell us if your travel is tied to a religious calendar.
