Quick answer
What cabins does the Oman Air nonstop to Muscat actually have?
Three. Oman Air states its London service is a Boeing 787-9 in a three-cabin configuration — Business Studio, Business Class and Economy Class — so there is no premium economy cabin on the nonstop itself.
Business Studio sits above Business Class on the same aircraft, which means "business class to Muscat" can mean two different seats at two different fares on the same flight.
That configuration is Oman Air's own published description of the double-daily London service it began on 26 October 2025, and aircraft change. Our guide fare is £1,444 return from London (LON), checked.
Ask which of the two business products you are being quoted before you compare the fare with anything else. They are not interchangeable.
- Oman Air publishes a double-daily London service from 26 October 2025
- The aircraft is described as a Boeing 787-9
- Three cabins: Business Studio, Business Class, Economy
- Oman Air is Heathrow Terminal 4
- Heathrow and Gatwick are priced separately

On most routes "business class" describes one cabin. On the Muscat nonstop it describes two, sitting on the same aircraft at different fares, and the difference is not something a search result will explain to you.
Three cabins, two of them premium
Oman Air's own announcement of its returning double-daily London service, which began on 26 October 2025, describes the aircraft as a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner featuring the airline's signature three-cabin configuration: Business Studio, Business Class and Economy Class. The airline also published the pattern as two daily flights on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Two things follow from that, and both matter to a UK buyer.
- There is no premium economy cabin on the nonstop. If you were planning to sit between economy and business on the direct flight, that option is not on this aircraft as the airline describes it. Premium economy on a Muscat itinerary generally means a connecting routing through another hub, on another carrier's aircraft.
- "Business class" is ambiguous here. Business Studio is the higher of the two premium cabins. A quote can be perfectly honest and still be for either one, so the question to ask is which.
Cabin configurations change, and this is the airline's published description rather than a guarantee for a specific date. We confirm the aircraft and the cabin on the dates you give us.
Why Heathrow and Gatwick are priced separately
Most destinations we cover carry a single London fare. Muscat carries three: a London-wide fare and separate Heathrow and Gatwick fares, which is unusual we cover and worth explaining rather than hiding.
Heathrow lists Oman Air in Terminal 4. Where a Gatwick fare appears, it is one we price from that airport — it is not us telling you Oman Air flies the nonstop from Gatwick. The departure board shows what each origin currently carries; when you enquire we confirm which airport, which airline and which shape of itinerary the fare is actually built on.
Our current indicative business class guide fare is £1,444 return from London (LON), checked. First class is indicatively from £2,463. Dated starting prices; your exact fare is confirmed on your quote.
Muscat International (MCT) — not Salalah, and not Dubai with a drive
The arrival is Muscat International Airport (MCT). Two arrivals get confused with it.
- Salalah (SLL) is a different Omani airport, roughly 1,000 km south in Dhofar. It is a genuine destination in its own right, particularly in the khareef season, and we price it on request.
- Dubai (DXB) with a road transfer is a route some travellers consider. It crosses an international border and the drive is long. A through ticket to MCT keeps your bags, your protection and your connection in one contract; a self-transfer at Dubai does not.
Oman is a separate country from the UAE. If your meetings are in Muscat, buy MCT.
When the nonstop is not the right answer
A double-daily nonstop is a strong proposition, but it is not automatically the best itinerary for everyone. If you are starting from a UK regional airport, a one-stop through another Gulf hub can be cheaper, can leave at a more useful time, and can put you on a larger premium cabin for the long sector. If you want premium economy at all, a connection is likely to be the only way to get it.
We will show you both shapes. What we will not do is present a connection as a nonstop or the other way round.
What to confirm on an Oman Air ticket
- Which premium cabin the fare is for — Business Studio or Business Class. This is the single most useful question.
- The aircraft on your specific dates, since the three-cabin description is the airline's published pattern rather than a per-date promise.
- Whether your itinerary is the nonstop or a one-stop, and if one-stop, where and for how long.
- The arrival code MCT, not SLL, and not DXB with a drive.
- Oman Air is Heathrow Terminal 4. A connection from a British Airways domestic flight arrives in Terminal 3 or 5 and needs terminal-transfer time.
Muscat is the Gulf city where the airline on your ticket may not be the airline flying you. Our guide to business class across the Gulf explains which carriers operate which services.
FAQs
What do travellers ask about business class to Muscat?
Prefer to talk? +447348617176 .
How much is business class to Muscat from the UK?
The lowest indicative guide fare we currently hold is £1,444 return from London (LON), checked. On this route the more important question is which business cabin the figure buys, because the nonstop aircraft carries two of them.
Does Oman Air fly nonstop from the UK to Muscat?
Oman Air announced the return of double-daily flights between Muscat and London from 26 October 2025, published as two daily flights on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Heathrow lists Oman Air in Terminal 4. We confirm the schedule on your dates.
What cabins are on the Muscat nonstop?
Oman Air describes the London service as a Boeing 787-9 in a three-cabin configuration: Business Studio, Business Class and Economy Class. Business Studio is the higher of the two premium cabins.
What is the difference between Business Studio and Business Class on Oman Air?
They are two separate premium cabins on the same aircraft, with Business Studio positioned above Business Class. Because both are sold as premium, a "business class to Muscat" quote can be for either — ask which one before you compare fares.
Is there premium economy on the flight to Muscat?
Not on the nonstop as Oman Air describes it — the 787-9 is published as a three-cabin aircraft with no premium economy. A premium economy itinerary to Muscat generally means a connecting routing on another carrier, and we will price that separately if you want it.
Why are Heathrow and Gatwick priced separately for Muscat?
London-wide, Heathrow and Gatwick are priced separately for Muscat, which is unusual. A Gatwick fare is one we price from that airport; it is not a statement that the nonstop operates from Gatwick. We confirm the airport and the operating carrier on the quote.
Which airport does this Muscat fare use?
Muscat International Airport (MCT). Salalah (SLL) is a different Omani airport around 1,000 km south; this page prices Muscat.
Should I fly to Dubai and drive to Muscat?
It is possible but it crosses an international border and the drive is long. A single through ticket to MCT keeps bags, protection and connections in one contract; a self-transfer at Dubai does not. Tell us if you already hold a UAE sector.
Is Muscat in the UAE?
No. Muscat is the capital of Oman, a separate country to the south-east of the UAE. Dubai is DXB and has its own page and fare.
Which Heathrow terminal is Oman Air?
Heathrow lists Oman Air in Terminal 4, alongside Qatar Airways, Etihad, Gulf Air, Kuwait Airways, Saudia and Riyadh Air. British Airways is in Terminals 3 and 5, so a BA connection is an inter-terminal transfer.
Is first class available to Muscat?
First class is indicatively from £2,463 on current guide fares. Oman Air's London 787-9 is published as a three-cabin aircraft, so a first class itinerary is likely to involve another carrier — we confirm what is actually available on your dates.
Are these Muscat fares guaranteed?
No. With two premium cabins on the same aircraft, the figure you are quoted depends on which of them the fare is for as much as on your dates. The figures here were checked.
