Quick answer
Which airlines sell a lie-flat business seat from the UK to Toronto?
Toronto has the widest choice of business-class product of any Canadian city we cover. Virgin Atlantic flies Heathrow to Toronto daily with 31 Upper Class seats. WestJet carries a lie-flat Business pod on its Boeing 787-9. Air Canada sells Signature Class, a flat bed up to 6ft 7in.
That is three distinct lie-flat products into one airport, which is unusual on a Canadian route and is why the choice of carrier matters more than the price.
Our lowest indicative business class guide fare to Toronto is £1,790 return, checked. Schedules are the airline's published plan and change.
Tell us which cabin matters more to you than which fare, because on this route they are not the same question.
- Virgin flies Heathrow to Toronto daily on a 787-9
- That aircraft carries 31 Upper Class seats
- It was Virgin's first Canadian route since 2014
- Air Canada Signature Class is a flat bed to 6ft 7in
- WestJet Business is a lie-flat pod, 787-9 only

Starting prices by UK departure airport
Starting prices for each UK departure. Your airline and your exact fare are confirmed on your quote.
Toronto is the only Canadian city where a UK traveller genuinely chooses between business-class products rather than simply taking what flies. That is worth using.
Three flat beds into one airport
Virgin Atlantic returned to Canada here. Its Heathrow to Toronto Pearson service has run daily since 30 March 2025 on a Boeing 787-9 configured with 31 Upper Class, 35 Premium Economy and 192 Economy seats — the airline's first Canadian route since 2014.
Air Canada sells Signature Class on its European flying, a seat the airline describes as converting to a fully flat bed up to 203cm, or 6ft 7in, on its Boeing 777, Boeing 787, Airbus A330 and A321XLR aircraft.
WestJet is the one UK travellers tend to misread. Its Business cabin is a private pod with a lie-flat seat and direct aisle access, 46 inches of pitch and 22 inches of width — carried only on the Boeing 787-9, and flown from Toronto among other cities.
Other carriers sell London to Toronto too. We confirm which are operating on your dates, and in which cabin, on the quote — we would rather check a schedule than reprint one.
What it costs, before the cabin question
Business class to Toronto starts from £1,790 return, checked.
Tell us where you want to fly from and we will price it. On a route with this much choice of carrier, the more useful question is usually which cabin you end up in rather than which airport you leave from — the three lie-flat products above are genuinely different.
Toronto as the way into the rest of Canada
If Toronto is not your final stop, the structure here is unusually good. Virgin Atlantic and WestJet are co-located at Toronto Pearson's Terminal 3, and their codeshare connects through Toronto to 13 destinations across Canada, including Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Ottawa.
A shared terminal is the part that matters. Most one-stop itineraries lose their advantage at the transfer; this one does not move you between buildings.
If the Canadian city is the point rather than Toronto, see business class flights to Vancouver and Calgary — both of which we also price nonstop.
Before you book Toronto
- Decide whether the cabin or the fare is the real constraint. On this route they point at different airlines.
- Ask which aircraft is scheduled on your date — the lie-flat products are aircraft-specific, not route-specific.
- If you are connecting onward in Canada, say so before the ticket is priced, not after.
- Check the arrival airport on a Toronto itinerary; the long-haul flights use Pearson.
- Treat every published seasonal pattern as a plan we confirm, not a promise.
Toronto gained a daily Virgin Atlantic service in March 2025 and connects onward through a shared terminal. Our guide to business class across Canada explains what that changes.

Does WestJet really have a business class?
Yes, and it is a lie-flat one. WestJet Business is a private pod with direct aisle access, 46 inches of pitch and 22 inches of width. It is carried only on the airline's Boeing 787-9, so the aircraft scheduled on your date is what decides whether you get it.
What is Air Canada Signature Class?
It is Air Canada's long-haul business cabin, offered on its European flying. The airline describes the seat as converting to a fully flat bed up to 203cm — 6ft 7in — on its Boeing 777, Boeing 787, Airbus A330 and A321XLR aircraft.

Which Toronto airport do UK flights use?
The long-haul services use Toronto Pearson. Tell us if your onward plans involve the downtown airport, because that is a separate transfer rather than a connection.
Is business class to Toronto cheaper from a regional airport?
Tell us your airport and we will price it. On Toronto the bigger question is usually which carrier and cabin you end up in, because three genuinely different lie-flat products serve the route.
Are these Toronto fares guaranteed?
No. They are dated indicative guide fares, checked, and subject to availability. If the fare has moved we send current options.
What should a Toronto quote actually name?
Your UK departure, Toronto Pearson, dates, the operating airline on each sector, the cabin, the aircraft on the long sector, baggage and the fare rules. If you are connecting onward, the second carrier and the terminal too.
